The Merlin Narrowboats' Boat Planner is a tool to help you design a layout for your narrowboat. It features many of the common components found in narrowboat designs. However it is limited to a range of standard components, and contains no intelligence concerning the practicalities of plumbing, gas routing, weight distribution, and other factors. Before finalising a design you should always talk to a competent boat builder.
Whilst we have attempted to make the plans and prices produced by the Boat Planner as realistic as possible, the design produced should not be taken as any guarantee of the practicality of a particular layout, nor do they represent any commitment by Merlin Narrowboats to build to any design or price.
To use the boat planner you must have a browser which supports JavaScript and images, with both enabled. Suitable browsers include Netscape Navigator version 2.0+, Microsoft Internet Explorer version 3.0+, and Opera Version 3.0+. If you have JavaScript available and enabled, you will see a link to the planner here:
The Java
Boat Planner is a new version of the boat planner for browsers
which support pure Java. You can use it online, or download it
to use offline.
